Mobile Crane Operator
Mobile crane operators operate mobile cranes to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment. They perform pre-operational inspections. They calculate crane capacities, determine load weight, and set up, position and stabilize the crane before the lift. Mobile crane operators have the additional responsibilities of disassembling, traveling and transporting mobile cranes.

Please note that effective June 1st, 2016, Mobile Crane Operator (Hydraulic) is no longer a designated Red Seal trade. Mobile Crane Operator continues to be a Red Seal trade.

This National Standard is being used as the basis for the current Red Seal exams. While some provinces and territories are still using this standard, others have already replaced it or are working towards replacing it with the new RSOS.
